Pfizer is set to cut 500 jobs as the result of the company discontinuing its pharmaceutical sciences small molecule operations at Sandwich in Kent, Sky News’ Sarah Taaffe-Maguire reports. The company confirmed the job cuts to Sky News and said they are part of a company-wide cost-cutting program. “Various areas of Pfizer’s global enterprise are making changes to operate more efficiently and effectively,” a spokesperson said.
