Pentagon urging missile suppliers to boost production rates, WSJ says

The Pentagon is calling on missile suppliers to “double or even quadruple” the output of missiles, fearing a potential future conflict with China, The Wall Street Journal’s Drew FitzGerald and Lara Seligman report, citing people familiar with the matter. The push to increase production of the critical weapons in the highest demand has played out through high-level meetings between Pentagon leaders and senior representatives from several U.S. missile makers, the report states. Publicly traded companies in the space include BAE Systems (BAESY), Boeing (BA), GE Aerospace (GE), General Dynamics (GD), HII (HII), L3Harris Technologies (LHX), Lockheed Martin (LMT), Northrop Grumman (NOC) and RTX (RTX).
