Panasonic Energy (PCRFY) still intends to build a third electric vehicle battery facility in the U.S. despite dropping a tentative plan last year to establish a plant in Oklahoma, Nikkei Asia’s Ryohtaroh Satoh reports. Allan Swan, president of Panasonic Energy of North America, told Nikkei about the plans on the sidelines of the CES electronics show in Las Vegas, though declined to provide details. “We are always looking ,” he said. “Oklahoma is still an option.” Panasonic supplies Tesla (TSLA), the author notes.
