Oppenheimer analyst Rupesh Parikh reiterated a Perform rating on Dollar General ahead of the company’s Q2 report on August 29. The firm believes management could narrow full-year earnings per share guidance toward the lower end of $6.80-$7.55 range given ongoing discretionary category challenges, headwinds with the low-end consumer, and mixed consumer data points lately. Oppenheimer added that it took a fresh look at its Dollar General model and adjusted its estaimtes, taking into account management commentary from the last call.
