Mira Murati, CTO at Microsoft-backed OpenAI, released a statement on X, formerly Twitter, saying she has decided to leave the ChatGPT maker. “I’m stepping away because I want to create the time and space too do my own exploration,” Murati said. “For now, my primary focus is doing everything in my power to ensure a smooth transition, maintaining the momentum we’ve built.”
