Short term rental regulations in New York City will be enforced more aggressively beginning in early September, according to Allison Pohle, writing for the Wall Street Journal .”Hosts of short-term rentals need to register with the city to continue providing stays,” notes the WSJ story and registrations must conform to rules. Booking platforms like Airbnb (ABNB), Vrbo and Booking.com may also be subject to penalties, added the WSJ story. The Fly notes that companies Zillow (Z) provide short term listings for housing.
