Nvidia’s AI business colliding with U.S.-Chinese tensions, NY Times reports

The United States’ proposed AI chip framework would block adversaries entirely, and give others quotas based on their alignment with the U.S., threatening Nvidia’s (NVDA) expansion, The New York Times’ Trip Mickle and Paul Mozur report, citing four people familiar with the proposed restrictions. The chipmaker currently expects more than $10B in foreign sales this year. Other companies in the space include include Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intel (INTC), Qualcomm (QCOM), Marvel (MRVL), Texas Instruments (TXN), Micron (MU), Microchip (MCHP), and TSMC (TSM).
