The National Transportation Safety Board released the agenda and witness list for the two-day investigative hearing into the in-flight blowout of a left mid exit door plug on a Boeing (BA) 737-9 MAX. The hearing, scheduled for Aug. 6-7 in Washington, is part of the ongoing investigation into why the blowout happened when the jetliner, operated as Alaska Airlines (ALK) Flight 1282, departed Portland, Oregon, on Jan. 5. Witnesses will represent the following entities: Federal Aviation Administration; Boeing Commercial Airplanes; Spirit AeroSystems (SPR), and; International Association of Machinists. The hearing docket, available on NTSB.gov at the start of the hearing, will include factual reports and exhibits for the investigation.
