Novavax COVID-19 vaccine approved by FDA with restrictions, AP News says

The FDA issued an approval of Novavax’s (NVAX) COVID-19 vaccine, but with unusual restrictions, Lauran Neegaard of AP News reports. The FDA recently granted the company full approval for its vaccine for use only in adults 65 and older, or those 12 to 64 who have at least one health problem that puts them at an increased risk from COVID-19. Next month, advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were set to debate if yearly COVID vaccines should continue to be recommended for everyone, but this decision suggests the Trump administration may have already decided how to proceed in advance of that meeting.
