Norway’s $1.5T sovereign wealth fund has become the latest Exxon Mobil shareholder to commit to voting against director Jay Hooley at the oil major’s annual meeting next Wednesday, The Financial Times’ Attracta Mooney, Patrick Temple West and Myles McCormick report. Norges Bank Investment Management said it “continues to place utmost importance on the protection of shareholder rights” and would vote against Hooley in his capacity as a lead independent director over the lawsuit. Exxon previously sued two climate-focused shareholder groups to block their resolution demanding it do more to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
