Nordstrom family seeks to take department store operator private, Reuters says

The founding family behind Nordstrom (JWN) is seeking to take the U.S. department store operator private and has asked investment banks Morgan Stanley (MS) and Centerview Partners to reach out to private equity firms and gauge their interest for a potential deal, people familiar with the matter told Reuters’ Greg Roumeliotis and Abigail Summerville. This new attempt comes six years after a similar attempt proved unsuccessful, the report noted.
