The National Football League intends to offer its cable channels NFL Network and RedZone directly to consumers through its NFL+ streaming platform, and would increase its price significantly, the Wall Street Journal’s Joe Flint reports. The NFL said NFL+ premium version subscribers who have access to NFL Network and RedZone, the author says, noting that the premium version cost will increase to $14.99 per month from $9.99. The standard version of the streaming service will increase in price to $6.99 per month from $4.99, the author notes. Publicly traded companies that broadcast NFL games include Disney (DIS), Comcast (CMCSA), Fox (FOXA), Paramount (PARA), and Amazon (AMZN).
