The National Football League is in discussions to pre-approve a group of institutional investors to own minority stakes in teams, as long as existing owners also agree, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg’s Gillian Tan and Randall Williams. The league has held talks with firms including Arctos Partners, Ares Management (ARES), Avenue Capital Group, Carlyle Group (CG) and CVC Capital Partners, the sources said.
