Meta Platforms (META) plans to carry out its company-wide layoffs this week while pushing ahead on its expedited hiring of machine learning engineers, Katie Paul of Reuters reports, citing internal memos seen by the journal. Employees will begin receiving notice of losing their jobs on Monday in most countries, according to one of the posts reviewed by Reuters.
