U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez has dismissed Johnson & Johnson’s third effort to use bankruptcy to establish a multi-million dollar trust fund to pay women who claim they developed cancer using baby power and other company products allegedly tainted with toxic substances, Bloomberg’s Steven Church reports. The rejection ends the controversial proposal which would have mandated a settlement of almost all its talc-related cancer lawsuits, the author notes.
