Judge narrows privacy lawsuit against Apple, Reuters reports

U.S. District Judge Edward Davila in San Jose, California has narrowed litigation accusing Apple of violating the privacy of iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch users by gathering their personal information through proprietary apps such as the App Store, Apple Music, and Apple TV, Reuters’ Jonathan Stempel reports. The judge spurned nearly all claims based on the “Allow Apps to Request to Track” setting on the mobile devices, but allowed some claims to proceed over the “Share Analytics” setting, the author notes.
