At the Goldman Sachs U.S. Financial Services Conference, Marianne Lake, co-CEO of Consumer & Community Banking at JPMorgan, said the bank is "pretty sanguine" at the moment. Lake added that the company feels as though a "modest recession" is in the bank’s near term, and that the probability of a recession has "gone up." The executive added that the company started to see retail spending "a little softer" subsequent to Q3.
