Raymond James believes it is unlikely that JetBlue (JBLU) and Spirit (SAVE) appeal a decision from Judge William Young to permanently enjoin the companies from executing their proposed merger. If they do, it is the firm’s understanding that it could take another four or five months. Meanwhile, Raymond James said that we could see renewed interest for Spirit from Frontier (ULCC), though given its own challenging earnings backdrop, a lower, all-stock offer is more likely.
