Last week, Smucker filed a lawsuit against Trader Joe’s new line of frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwich snacks, ones with the crusts trimmed off and edges pressed together, Christopher Kuo and Jesse Newman of The Wall Street Journal reports. Smucker’s claimed Trader Joe’s version is an “obvious copycat” and is seeking monetary damages, along with the destruction of Trader Joe’s stock.
