BMO Capital raised the firm’s price target on J.B. Hunt (JBHT) to $180 from $172 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. Despite a continued soft demand backdrop, strong execution and tangible progress towards $100M in targeted cost savings drove stronger than anticipated results in Q3, the analyst tells investors in a research note. In the absence of a worsening cyclical backdrop, the earnings trajectory has the potential to improve materially in FY26, potentially supporting an EPS of $10-$11 when the freight cycle recovers, the firm added.
