Stifel raised the firm’s price target on J.B. Hunt (JBHT) to $147 from $140 and keeps a Hold rating on the shares. Q3 EPS of $1.76 “comfortably” exceeded consensus and the firm’s estimate on faster-than-expected cost savings on a flat top line, the analyst tells investors. A leaner Hunt is now more optimized for the soft environment, but the firm says it now just needs “a little help from supply/demand fundamentals.”
