BofA upgraded Itau Unibanco to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $8, up from $6.60. The bank is well ahead of peers in terms of technology and strategy on serving high-income retail clients, while a strong balance sheet should lead to outsized dividend payments in 2024, the analyst tells investors. Itau’s premium valuation is “deserved” given its superior execution, the analyst added.
