iPhone and iPad ports of AAA video games that Apple (AAPL) has recently showcased during major company events have all largely been commercial failures on those platforms, Mobilegamer.biz’s Neil Long reports. The tech giant recently showcased major console titles like Capcom’s (CCOEY) “Resident Evil 4,” Sony‘s (SONY) “Death Stranding,” and Ubisoft’s (UBSFY) “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” in recent keynotes, but even using optimistic revenue estimates, they haven’t done well, the author says. Long says the site’s calculations, baseed on Appfigures estimates, indicate that under 3,000 people have paid $49.99 to play “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” on iPhone since it launched earlier this month, for example.
