BofA notes that AdAge and Campaign reported that most of Pfizer’s (PFE) creative duties will now shift from Interpublic Group (IPG) to Publicis (PUBGY), which was confirmed by a Pfizer spokesperson, calling the loss of Pfizer “an unexpected blow for IPG.” It is unusual for an advertiser to switch creative agencies so quickly after they were awarded and IPG boasts a strong reputation in creative work for healthcare clients, added the analyst, who called the shift “disappointing news for IPG.”
