Argus upgraded International Paper to Buy from Hold with a $52 price target. The company’s earnings have been hurt by higher input costs and lower demand, but the firm believes that demand and pricing will recover heading into 2025, the analyst tells investors in a research note. International Paper also has a solid balance sheet and an attractive dividend with a yield of about 4.3%, with the stock also seen as “attractively valued at current prices”, Argus adds.
