Intel (INTC) is no longer planning to use its Intel 20A process node for its consumer Arrow Lake processors and instead plans to use external node, likely from TSMC (TSM), Paul Alcorn of Tom’s Hardware reports. Intel CFO Dave Zinsser also commented on the matter during the company’s discussion at the Citi Global TMT Conference, indicating the company would “skip over productizing” the 20A node to reduce capital expenditures and spending, projecting it will save half a billion dollars by skipping the 20A node.
