ING completes share buyback program, to pay remaining EUR 297M to holders

ING announced that it has completed the share buyback program that started on November 3. The total number of shares repurchased under the program is 107,032,745 ordinary shares at an average price of EUR 11.25 for a total consideration of EUR 1,203,635,570.77. During the last week of the program from December 26 up to and including December 28, ING has repurchased 43 shares. These shares were repurchased at an average price of EUR 11.61 for a total amount of EUR 499.13. In line with the announcement of the program on November 3, the remainder of the total amount of EUR 1.5 billion, amounting to EUR 297M, or EUR 0.082 per share, will be paid to shareholders in cash on January 16, 2023, the company stated.
