Humana is suing the U.S. government to block an audit rule that would allow Medicare to claw back billions of dolalrs in payments to insurers. In a filing with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division, Humana said the lawsuit “challenges the federal government’s arbitrary and capricious reversal of a policy government payment audits conducted by the Medicare Advantage program.” “At stake is the financial stability of this enormously popular government health-insurance program, which provides life-saving healthcare coverage for more than 30 million seniors,” the lawsuit reads.
