HP Enterprise (HPE) is in advanced discussions to acquire Juniper Networks (JNPR) for roughly $13B in an effort to gain a stronger foothold in the era of artificial intelligence, the Wall Street Journal’s Lauren Thomas, Dana Cimilluca, and Laura Cooper report. A transaction between the two companies could be formally announced as soon as this week, the authors say, citing people familiar with the matter.
