Morgan Stanley analyst Meta Marshall downgraded HP Enterprise (HPE) to Equal Weight from Overweight with a price target of $14, down from $24. Accretion from the impending close of the Juniper (JNPR) acquisition has been put on pause for now until Department of Justice trial in late summer, the analyst tells investors in a research note. In the interim, the “thinner margin structure” of HP Enterprise could provide less of a buffer to estimated tariffs, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Morgan Stanley says the tariffs announced on April 2 should have a more material impact to HP Enterprise versus its peers.
