HP Enterprise (HPE) late last year won a deal worth more than $1B to provide the social network X with servers optimized for artificial intelligence work, Brody Ford of Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Dell Technologies (DELL) and Supermicro (SMCI) also bid to sell the equipment to X, according to Bloomberg. In a statement to Bloomberg, Supermicro said it continues “to have strong partnerships with all of our customers, including X, as we build world-leading AI-data centers,” and that its “liquid-cooled technology remains in high demand.”
