Honeywell (HON) is expected to add an executive from activist investor Elliot Investment Management to its board ahead of the company’s split into three companies, Lauren Thomas of The Wall Street Journal reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Honeywell is set to appoint Marc Steinberg, a partner at Elliott, as an independent director and audit committee member, the sources added. The appointment comes with a cooperation agreement between the two companies, the sources noted.
