Alphabet’s (GOOG) Google has been working on a product for creating and conversing with customizable chatbots, which could be modeled on celebrities or entirely user-created, The Information’s Julia Hornstein and Jon Victor report, citing two people with direct knowledge of the project. The chatbots would have similarities with online personalities from Meta (META) and startup Character.AI, the authors note.
