Google has signed its largest carbon removal deal with Brazilian startup Mombak to fund Amazon rainforest restoration, aiming to offset 200,000 metric tons of emissions, four times its 2024 pilot agreement, as part of efforts to secure high-quality carbon credits for its energy-intensive data centers, Reuters’ Brad Haynes reports.
