Alphabet’s (GOOGL) (GOOG) Google will likely be slapped with a second fine under landmark European Union tech regulations in the coming months, with the European Commission currently drafting its decision on the case, Reuters’ Foo Yun Chee reports, citing three people with direct knowledge of the matter. The Commission hit Google with a $3.45B fine earlier in September for favoring its online display technology services and reinforcing its ad exchange’s central position to the detriment of competitors, the author notes.
