Google considers sourcing from nuclear power plants, Nikkei reports

Google is considering how to bring electricity from nuclear power plants to its data centers, CEO Sundar Pichai said in an interview with Nikkei, Kazuyuki Okudaira reports. Pichai also said his company will increase its investment in solar and thermal power. “For the first time in our history, we have this one piece of underlying technology which cuts across everything we do today,” Pichai said of generative AI. “I think the opportunity to do well here is something we are leaning into.”
