Goldman Sachs raised the firm’s price target on General Motors (GM) to $74 from $70 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm increased its 2025 U.S. auto forecast to 16.2M from 15.75M and 2026 forecast to 16.0M from 15.5M vehicles, citing solid year-to-date sales, Goldman’s leading indicators analysis suggesting better demand for vehicles, and “relatively benign” pricing actions from the industry in response to tariffs. It also reduced its U.S. battery electric vehicle mix assumptions for 2026 and beyond.
