Citi’s app download data shows U.S. residential solar growth appears to be down quarter-over-quarter in mid-single digits while Europe is still strong but lapping tough year-over-year compares. The firm says the U.S. residential installers with lease expertise are seeing market share gains, especially Sunrun (RUN). Citi is negative on Generac (GNRC) heading into Q2, opened a “downside catalyst watch” on SunPower (SPWR), and prefers Canadian Solar (CSIQ) over First Solar (FSLR).
