Susquehanna analyst Bascome Majors raised the firm’s price target on GATX to $115 from $110 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The analyst said the company delivered a confident 2023 outlook versus the firm’s sense of lower investor expectations, with resilient N.A. railcar remarketing income the key lever for upside. Susquehanna said this historically high profit stream should eventually normalize, but that risk feels pushed out to at least 2H23.
