The Federal Trade Commission won a victory in its lawsuit over Intuit’s advertisements for tax prep service TurboTax, with the agency’s in-house administrative judge ruling the company deceptively promoted the product as free, reported Politico’s Josh Sisco. Intuit confirmed the outcome, the report noted. The ruling, issued Wednesday, will remain sealed until Sept. 6, pending redactions, a person with knowledge of the matter told the news service.
