A U.S. appeals court denied a Federal Trade Commission bid to pause Microsoft’s (MSFT) acquisition of Activision Blizzard (ATVI). Microsoft President Brad Smith said via Twitter, “We appreciate the Ninth Circuit’s swift response denying the FTC’s motion to further delay the Activision deal. This brings us another step closer to the finish line in this marathon of global regulatory reviews.” Shares of Activision are up 3% to $93.10 in after-hours trading.
