Freshpet price target raised to $160 from $143 at TD Cowen

TD Cowen analyst Robert Moskow raised the firm’s price target on Freshpet to $160 from $143 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The analyst views hiring of Nicki Baty for the Chief Operating Officer role as an “important and positive step” toward strengthening the capabilities of Freshpet’s business and executing its expansion plan. Baty’s experience running Hill’s Pet Nutrition U.S. at Colgate “fits perfectly” with Freshpet’s plans for capacity expansion and channel development, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm cites increased confidence in the company’s long-term outlook for the target increase.
