Meta’s (META) multimillion-dollar budget for recruiting top AI talent does not guarantee success, Saritha Rai and Haslinda Amin of Bloomberg reports, citing comments made by Helen Toner, a former OpenAI board member. The poaching of AI researcher from companies such as Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI and the debut of Meta’s new Superintelligence group comes after the company developed a reputation for “having a dysfunctional team,” Toner said in an interview.
