Former CNN CEO Jeff Zucker has complained to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav that his CNN successor Chris Licht unfairly maligned him in the press, Tatiana Siegel of Variety reports, citing sources familiar with the conversation. Zaslav stopped him and instead asked Zucker if he was trying to assemble a team of investors to buy the network. While he denied this, sources tell Variety that Zucker has spent the past year traveling the globe to meet with potential partners to try to buy CNN, pitching the idea to some of the richest people in the world.
