The FDA plans to give the green light the new Covid boosters designed to target the XBB.1.5 omicron subvariant as early as Friday and the shots could become available next week after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also signs off, sources told NBC News’ Berkeley Lovelace Jr. and Monica Alba.
