The Federal Communications Commission voted 3-to-2 along party lines to reestablish the Commission’s authority over broadband Internet access service by classifying it as a telecommunications service under Title II of the Communications Act of 1934. “There is currently no expert agency ensuring that the Internet is fast, open, and fair,” the FCC said in its draft of the net neutrality rule.
