Some recently manufactured Boeing (BA) and Airbus (EADSY) jets have been made of titanium that was sold using fake documentation to verify the material’s authenticity, Mark Walker of The New York Times reports, citing a supplier for the plane makers. Spirit AeroSystems (SPR), which supplies fuselages for Boeing and wings for Airbus, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration, FAA, are investigating the falsified documents.
