Evolv partners with Temple Health for weapons detection screening

Evolv Technology announced its partnership with Temple University Health. Temple is using Evolv’s state-of-the-art Evolv Express screening solution at the entrances to Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Evolv Express uses powerful sensor technology with artificial intelligence to provide safer, more accurate threat detection as people walk through security at the pace of life. Hospitals around the country have experienced an increase in violence towards staff. With an increase in gun violence in the area around Temple University Hospital in North Philadelphia, hospital leadership added Evolv to address increased anxiety from its staff. The hospital uses Evolv Express systems to screen visitors at four of its entrances. “The driving factor for us to use Evolv was to increase safety and security for our patients, visitors, and staff,” said Brian Wade, Temple University Health System’s director, environment of care, emergency management, and security. “We know it is working because the reaction from our nurses has been extremely positive. People are happy they don’t have to worry about their safety and can focus more on their work.”
