Equinor has indicated that Norwegian authorities have approved the company’s plans for development and operation of the Irpa and Verdande fields and Andvare production well in the Norwegian Sea, Dominic Chopping of The Wall Street Journal reports, citing a company official. Trond Bokn, Equinor’s senior vice president for project development, noted that the company is “experiencing a strong demand for oil and gas from the Norwegian continental shelf in the current geopolitical situation,” the report states.
