Endeavor Group and Fenway Sports Group, which owns the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC, are among U.S. investors weighing making investments in the PGA Tour, providing a potential alternative to a pending deal with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Bloomberg’s Gillian Tan and Lucas Shaw report, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Although some U.S. investors prefer to lead an investment, it’s possible that the two groups end up partnering with the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, the authors note.
